Stata and NLSY help!! Codebook?

Hello, So I'm doing a paper on the effects of parents income level on their children and how inequality is perpetuated through the education system. I have the data file for what I want to use, but I'm not sure what all of the variables stand for. Is there a way to look in stata and figure out what the variables mean. Or since its the National longitudinal Survey of Youth and not data i compiled myself, I was wondering if there was a way to find a codebook online that tell me what the variable stand for? If anyone can help me even a little bit that would be great!!!
