What's the word I'm thinking of?

Ok, firstly this isn't a trick question. There's a reasonably obscure word that means 'relevant to only a specific audience', and I can't for the life of me remember what it is. As I said, I seem to remember it being quite an unusual word so bear that in mind before answering. Any ideas?
